Summary: Everyone has something they dread. Spiders, getting old, the loss of a family member, it's all the same. At least, as far as Morty's concerned.

History: An ancient Native American wood carving, Morty was an uncanny thing that would wait until groups of people came near it. Then, it would bend their minds, and make them confront their worst fears, often to murderous effect.

Notable Kills: Shapeshifts into a giant tree just so a car can crash into it.

Final Fate: Morty's first rampage ends when the survivor tosses away his fear to save his friend, to which the wood man retreats into the lake before rising again to harmlessly say hi to a kid. Much later, after stalking and tormenting a group on Halloween, he is set on fire and destroyed forever.

Powers/Abilities: Shapeshifting and mild reality warping.

Weakness: Those who have conquered their fear can either destroy him or drive him away.

Scariness Factor: 4-He can manipulate your deepest dread, become it even, and his movements scream uncanny valley. Or at least, that's how Morty was in the first film. He may have kept his powers in the next, but he looked a lot cheaper and occasionally spouted cheap one-liners. Ouch.

Trivia: -Because of this film, actors Eddie Bowz and Stacy Edwards met and married.

-The sequel also had the subtitles, "Happy Halloween" and "Halloween Night".
